What to Get Your Valentine, Even if Your Valentine is YOU

There are those, mostly those who are in love, who simply adore everything about Valentine's Day. On the other hand, it's a day that is simply not loved by everyone. If you don't have a special someone or companion by your side who sends you gifts and plans a romantic surprises just for you, it's a day determined to make you feel sad and lonely. Powerful emotions that make you detest everything red or pink and make you feel nauseous when you see those cute little heart-shaped candies or images of lovers in romantic silhouettes.

Whether you love Valentine's Day or not, you have choices and options to go about the day based on your sun signs.  Learn about what will make your sweetheart happy as can be, or how you can best cope with day if spending it solo.

If your sweetheart is an ARIES …

Then tempt your Aries with bold Spanish or South American wines, red flowers of any kind, and a saucy adventure with their outgoing personalities in mind. They are fiery, impulsive and active so treat them to something that will suit their adventurous nature such as a hot air balloon ride or parasailing. Any gift that saves time or enables an athletic hobby will go over well. Be a bit naughty with your Aries as they are very robust in their lovemaking. They love a challenge so give them one and pretend you are territory that needs to be conquered!

If you are an Aries ...

You're determined to receive the most cards, candy and flowers ... Who says sending gifts to yourself doesn't count?! Go take that skydiving adventure you have always wanted to experience. .. or perhaps add another jump to your list.

If your sweetheart is a TAURUS ...

If you are Virgo ... The Virgo birthstone is the sapphire so do something drastic and purchase a practical piece of jewelry for yourself with this stone. A sapphire pendant or ring will work wonderfully well with most business and evening attire. A healthy dinner or trip to the gym will be an enjoyable way of making most of your day.

If you are a LIBRA …

Give your Libra something that reminds him or her of your relationship and shared friendships. Put together a scrapbook of pictures of you both with your friends, or a stylish organizer they can take with them anywhere that acts as a keepsake of names, numbers, emails and important dates. They will be delight to be given a single rose or flower provided it is beautiful and in fresh bloom with a pleasant aroma that fills the house. Small artistic objects will capture their attention as will a small box of gourmet chocolate. Keep it stylish and trendy, just like they are.

If you are a Libra ... Send out Valentines cards, well wishes and emails to everyone you know; your chiropractor, your in-laws, your hairdresser, your 12th grade teacher, your trainer, your trainer's cousin … You don't want anyone to feel left out!

If your sweetheart is a SCORPIO ... Why go out for a fancy dinner when there can already be dessert waiting at home? Sensual oils, sexy lingerie or naughty reading material will be well received. Be sure to go all out, the more intense and passionate the better with Scorpio as they never do things by half way. Flattery and displaying affectionate is not their natural nature nor are they especially down with materialistic gifts. You are in the mood to be alone and being solo on Valentine's Day is a dream come true to have some private downtime. Capricorns are known to work too many hours in the week and not make themselves a priority. If you are an Aquarius ... Not one to conform to a commercialized holiday ... you are the first of all signs to refuse giving in to the traditions of Valentine's Day. However, treating yourself to some vegan chocolate and organically grown wine doesn't mean you've gone mainstream.

If your sweetheart is a PISCES ... Pisces is not concerned with how much you spend on them for Valentine's Day or birthdays; rather, they want to feel that you care enough to make this day special. Host a picnic in a romantic setting, or re-enact your first date … it will mean so much to them that you remembered. Buy a cute, romantic card, a single, enchanting flower or bottle of wine and tell them you wish you could give a hundred more.

If you are a Pisces ...

Try not to be so hard on yourself if you are spending the day solo. Instead of sliding into an emotional funk, dream of vacations you want to take, people you want to meet and reflect on all the good memories and experiences you've had thus far. Light scented candles, turn on your favorite music and indulge in your favorite dessert and movie ... enjoy your magical night.
