Ever wanted to know what someone was thinking, doing or even just eating at a random moment? Well Twitter.com answers just that. Creator Jack Dorsey’s virtual voyeur-like social network allows users to be linked in with random updates from their best friend or just someone the user thinks is really rad. Dorsey came up with the idea after joining LiveJournal.com in 2000 and feeling the need for a more “live” LiveJournal with real-time and up-to-date “play-by-plays.” Six years later, based out of San Francisco, Twitter was born and can be accessed and used on third-party API projects, mobile Web, SMS, Web and instant messaging. It’s easy to stay connected, and that’s the way Dorsey likes it.
