Besides the great company name, in just one year RockYou! has managed to soar up the ranks to become one of the most successful producers of widgets for social networks and other sites — most notably Facebook — so average Joes can personalize their own Web pages. And co-founders Lance Tokuda and Jia Shen keep churning out the hottest apps in town. Tokuda brought more than 15 years of software and management experience to the project while Shen’s 10-year expertise in graphic design and Web development helped to seal the deal. The dynamic duo meticulously studies the Facebook demographic and their patterns in order to create those must-have apps. It seems users can’t get enough of Horoscope, Slideshows, X Me and Games. The world waits for what they will come up with next.
