What's New: Echo Coffee
Coffee drinking has become more of a way of life rather than just a quick caffeine fix. This is the kind of ideology that Echo Coffee owner Steve Belt wants people to appreciate. The Scottsdale coffee shop recently celebrated its grand opening earlier this month, which had a commendable turnout.

The overall ambiance of Echo isn’t like the hardcore, indie coffee shops that tend to pop up so often. Instead, this place is geared toward the coffee drinkers who prefer being in an open, airy space with maybe Jack Johnson or Devendra Banhart playing in the background.

All the coffee is roasted inside the shop to provide costumers with the freshest product possible, allowing costumers to see exactly where their morning fuel is coming from (an important factor in this coffee-cultured world). Meanwhile, for those who appreciate the bold taste of coffee — we mean really, really appreciate it — try Echo’s cappuccino. It’s a double shot of espresso, two ounces of milk and two ounces of foam (the foam gives the cappuccino a natural, sweet flavor). Belt calls it the perfect drink.

Not only does Echo provide coffee, they also offer food made by Echo’s chef Carylann Wootton. Their menu concept is simple with its sandwich and salad offerings, but everything is made-to-order using fresh ingredients. The company plans to stay local and organic when it comes to purchasing products from suppliers.

Belt says his ideal costumer drinks their coffee inside Echo, and as a special incentive for customers to enjoy their beverages inside the shop, patrons are given free shortbread cookies.
