Written by: Kayla Weinstein As over 400 wildfires burn across Northern California, and only one day after Schwarzenegger called in the National Guard’s assistance, “The Governator” was spotted showing off some unsightly beach wear in Cancun, Mexico. It seems that this was just a Sunday afternoon trip for the Governor, as he was scheduled to address the public this morning on the fire-fighting efforts. Must be nice to have the ability to escape the heat wave just for some quality time soaking up some sun down south. Although I am quite jealous that I don’t have the resources for a quick sunbathing trip like Arnold’s, I am also quite skeptical on his judgment with two things. First of all, shouldn’t he be staying in Cah-lee-for-nee-ah and keeping an eye out on the devastating hundreds of wildfires? But a second note on his judgment is when will he ever learn that his ability to pull off a Speedo in public has been gone for quite some time now. Yes, this may be slightly insensitive of me to focus on that aspect amidst the damage and fear that wildfires bring, but I am also suffering damage and fear from this image of my Governor wearing a smaller bathing suit bottom than I prefer wearing. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are threatened by these terrible fires, and to all that have seen too many images of The Governator in itsy-bitsy bikinis.
