there's something about robots ... especially when they are walking through the desert carrying pink boxes of donuts.

what it all means, i don't know; but i know i like it.

and it seems as if san francisco artisit eric joyner (who paints robots and donuts to the point of obsession) isn't in a hurry to explain it either, stating that he also doesnt know what it all means but he would eat donuts all day if he could.

a passion statement.

that is kind of how i feel about hot dogs.

i dont really like donuts all that much, but i do like hot dogs so i can understand the man's plight.

from his 2009 series Pilgrimage shown above, Joyner's tin men are bringing their bounty across the dry and arid expanse. what they will do when they arrive is anyone's guess.

i bet they are staying at the flamingo.

Love it Melinda! Eric has the greatest narrative in his paintings! I think of pilgrimage as them bringing offerings to the luck gods as they approach Vegas for the weekend. or the three wisemen bringing gifts... Thanks for the shout out to Eric.
