President-Elect Barack Obama is showing that he sees the party line and is not afraid of crossing it. Obama met today with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the man who was running against him just a few weeks ago. The meeting was about how they could work together to get things done once Obama takes office in January 20, 2009. The President-elect has said previously that he is not going to shy away from crossing over party lines to find a solution and this is showing that he means business. In trying to fill his slots in his cabinet he has also met with former Democratic Presidential candidates Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.) for the role of Secretary of State.
