Ian Stevenson is an artist who's work I collect (okay, I have ONE of his pieces, but it is a really good one.) The bio on his website (www.ianstevenson.co.uk) says he is, “ . . . a professional man, secure in his sexuality and proud of his body,” which is interesting, but I really like him because he makes pictures of adorable and slightly disturbing creatures doing all sorts of fun things.

I also like him because his work is affordable - just £50 for a print?! I hear you. You're saying, “Laurel. You shut your whore mouth,” but I swear it's true. Buy one and hang it up in your house. When your friends come over, say, “Oh, that? That's an Ian Stevenson. He's from across the pond.” Everyone will be very impressed. Trust me.
