Last night, the Lakers defeated a re-energized Orlando Magic in an exciting game that was pushed into an even more exciting overtime. The Lakers’ 101-96 win came despite the fact that Orlando, who were battered in a 100-75 loss to the Lakers in Game 1, played infinitely better. Hedo Turkoglu, J.J. Reddick and Rashard Lewis, 3 players who were basically silenced during Orlando’s Game 1 beating, made a number of clutch shots to keep the Magic in the game. However, Kobe, Pau and their Lakers refused to be beaten on their home court and managed to garner a Laker victory. Jack Nicholson, who can always be seen hollering from his courtside seat, simply wouldn’t allow anything less.
