Written by: Jimmy Bearse The first NFL Preseason game is just a month away, and for us die hard football fans and any person who enjoys watching oversize grown men try to kill each other on the field, it is time to spice up our passion and sign up for fantasy football. In my opinion the best parts of fantasy football is waking up on Sunday calling your friend that you are matched up against and talking trash that your team is going to smash his team this week. However, every year I start another league and invite all my friends, family, and coworkers to join, but I always have the difficulty of thinking up a creative name for my team.

I don't want to be the simple fan that just names his fantasy team by his favorite actual football team, such as the Ridiculous Raiders or the Sizzling Steelers; however, in the past I have come up with a new concept to get the ultimate fantasy team name. I like to turn my fantasy team name into a joke about popular headlines that have been broadcast on ESPN. I don't like to use headlines like Michael Vick or Donte' Stallworth incident because they are just sad but the latest story that caught my attention was Rodger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, is trying to climb Mt. Rainer, in Washington. This mountain is roughly 14,500 feet high and is the largest volcano in Washington. So I have decided this years name is going to be dedicated to Goodell and his challenge, so what do you think about the name “Goodell and His New Best Friend the Volcano?”
