Visiting the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art

Well worth a visit. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art located inside Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has recently partnered up with the Musuem of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) to exhibit the latest, Classic Contemporary: Lichtenstein, Warhol & Friends, which will be on display until September 8th, 2009. Displaying the art work of late well known 20th-century American artists' trends of abstract expressionism, pop art and minimalism. Those works include Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Ellsworth Kelly and more. Currently on display (to name a couple) will include Frank Stella's Sabra III (1967), Roy Lichtenstein's Mirror (1971) and Sol Lewitt's Floor Piece #4 (1976). This contemporary presentation is solely dedicated to the cultural landscape of Las Vegas and is highly recommended.  
*Hours are Sun. through Thurs., 10am to 6pm, Friday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm
*Every Wednesday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Las Vegas residents can purchase tickets for $8. Every third Wednesday of the month, locals also have the opportunity to enjoy curatorial tours of the exhibition led by the gallery's director or the curatorial advisor. Please call 702-693-7871 for more details
*Cost: $15 for visitors 13 and older; $12 for Nevada residents and seniors 65 and older; $10 for military, teachers and college students; Children 12 years old and younger are free. Annual memberships are also available. An audio tour of the gallery is included in the price of the exhibit.
