Description
Lead and facilitate the development of 944's internal and external web presences to expedite achievement of 944's strategic goals. Establishes, plans, directs and implements the market/growth plan, user interface standards, design guidelines.
Candidates should have previous consulting experience utilizing web analytics tools to create traffic, conversion and usage reports. A degree in business, marketing, communications, computer science or related field is preferred. Candidates must have the proven ability to get things done through existing production processes, as well as the vision/initiative to help establish new processes and improve existing ones with a meticulous attention to detail and for completing projects from end-to-end within aggressive timelines. Candidates must be highly adept at working in a dynamic environment, managing frequently changing priorities, working under tight schedules and balancing multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities. In addition, this person must possess excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and analytical and organizational skills along with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Works collaboratively with 944's Editor-In-Chief, tech department, business units, design department, local managing editors, marketing team, content developers, and workgroups to determine and meet the company's web communication needs.
Works with the finance department to determine budget and resource allocations necessary to support web operations.

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for conveying the visual concept for 944 magazine, 944.com and the company's overall visual branding. The Art Director must continually create/improve the look and feel of the magazine, web site, support materials, related products, and/or promotions. Ultimately, the Art Director is expected to strategize, design, and produce high-end results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
When we were in college, most our internship mostly consisted of filing papers, fetching coffee and starting at the clock wondering why. Then we started a company and vowed not to repeat that cycle of soul crushing abuse.
Instead, 944 interns benefit from real world experience, working close with full time staff in all departments to really learn the ins and outs of the industry. The 944 intern program, provides an opportunity to experience many departments such as marketing, sales, events, editorial, air conditioning repair, production and administration with a chance to position themselves as a key player for hands-on opportunities in their area of focus. Several of our full time staff members got their start with us in the internship program or have been hired by other dynamic companies.
