Art Exhibition/Benefit Auction in San Francisco

SF Camerawork's highly anticipated annual benefit auction of photographic
prints is a collector's paradise with both vintage and contemporary
photographic prints by more than 200 leading artists. Admirers of classic
20th Century works can bid on pieces by such luminaries as Edward Weston,
Robert Doisneau, Herb Ritts, and Berenice Abbott. Those with a taste for the
contemporary will be drawn to works by Richard Misrach, Uta Barth, Kota
Ezawa, Alec Soth, Jim Goldberg, Ann Hamilton, William Wegman, Todd Hido,
Pirkle Jones, Michael Kenna, Dinh Q. Lê, Michael Light, David Maisel,
Catherine Wagner, Judy Dater, and many others.

The auction takes place on Saturday, December 6 beginning at 1 PM and the
public is invited to view the work during a month-long preview exhibition
November 6 - December 6, with a special preview opening reception on
Thursday, November 6 from 5 to 8 PM. Auction catalogs are free and available
at SF Camerawork and other local galleries. Catalogs may also be ordered by
telephone, fax or e-mail. The catalog can be viewed in its entirety at
www.sfcamerawork.org . All proceeds from the
auction support SF Camerawork's exhibitions and educational programs.

Auctioneer Dale Stulz promises to keep everyone on the edge of their seats
as the bidding takes place. With more than 30 years working in the field of
fine art photographs, including working as Founding Director of the
Department of Photographs at Christie's International, Stulz has sold more
than a billion dollars worth of art. Currently working as an appraiser and
consultant, his clients include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the J. Paul
Getty Museum, and the estates of Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon, and Robert
Mapplethorpe.
