A great and cheap way to spend the first Thursday night of each month is to head over to the Museum of Contemporary Art's downtown location. Admission is free (although there is a recommended $3.00 donation for non-members), and each first Thursday the museum holds a variety of different activities, including DJ lessons, live bands, artists' talks & video projections.
