Now starting May 17th and until the end of September, Mars Bar is open from 1pm until sundown. Located south of Market, there’s plenty of parking in the area as well as sunshine, even when other parts of town aren’t.

Famous for their outdoor garden patio (and not to mention their huge overhead heaters – originally used for outdoor barns they say), Mars Bar is now open Sunday afternoons where folks can sit, enjoy the sunshine, order specialty blender drinks from the outdoor tiki bar, play pool, watch the game, while the goovin’ tunes move anywhere from reggae & samba to uplifting house to classic disco and soul.

Their kitchen serves until 430pm – try their famous ½ lb addictive fries, fresh salads, and other dishes. With a friendly staff and solid drinks (no jiggers used here that’s for sure), we can see why Mars Bar is “always a good time!”
