Pop legend Elton John affectionately refers to Rufus Wainwright as "the greatest songwriter on the planet." Recently nominated for a Grammy Award for his Judy Garland-inspired album Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation. Musician Joan as Police Woman opens the performance.
