San Francisco – More than 300 eager shoppers snapped up bargains and one-of-a-kind treasures at Friday’s This Old Bag: The Power of the Purse, Breast Caner Emergency Fund’s annual handbag auction. By the time the gavel came down on the final items, the 12 live auction items brought in more than $25,000. When added to ticket sales and the cumulative sales prices of more than 250 handbags sold in the silent auction, the event netted just under $100,000 to help low-income women with breast cancer.
