Over 1,000 de Young donors and their guests attended this black tie evening in which the de Young resembled a Cairo nightclub in the 1920s. Guests including His Excellency Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Zahi Hawass, Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, FAMSF Board President Dede Wilsey and exhibition cultural partner Lindy Sherwood-Combs of Northern Trust, who visited Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs and were entertained by roving belly dancers, acrobats and sword dancers. Guests dined and danced to The MoodSwing Orchestra in the tent behind the Museum. Catering by McCall Associates. Décor by Blueprint Design.
